[REAP] The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal joins REAP

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority of the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs (NDRRMA) joined REAP on November 2, 2021.

NDRRMA commits to REAP and will contribute to the Partnership by working on the themes of impact based multi-hazard Early Warning System and commits to develop effective Early Action plans that can be added ahead of the forecast as per the National Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) Strategy 2021 and the Disaster Risk Reduction National Strategic Action PIan 2018-2030.

Risk-informed Early Action Partnership (REAP) is hosted by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).REAP was launched at the UN Climate Action Summit in September 2019, and brings together an unprecedented range of stakeholders across the climate, humanitarian and development communities with the aim of making 1 billion people safer from disaster by 2025.
